I bought a pork roast knowing I had seen a lot of tasty pork recipes in our cookbooks, and I decided to try the Pork Roast with Plum Sauce on page 161 of A Taste of Aloha, in the Meats section. What a winner! The sauce was not just plummy from the hoisin sauce, it was a full-blown Asian barbecue sauce scented with sesame and ginger. So delicious!
It doesn’t get much easier than a roast, and this recipe is no exception. Sear the meat and roast. Mix the sauce and add. Gotta love it! My two-year-old especially liked the sauce (and put it on everything). I have to admit, so did I – it tasted great with green veggies like broccoli and green beans.
I have to say, the sauces in these cookbooks have definitely been a highlight for me! They add that wow! factor to every dish. I recommend you try this Plum Sauce today!
